1. Data Collection on Our Website

Server Log Files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

• Browser type and browser version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request
• IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which allows the processing of data based on our legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation, optimization, and security of our website. Server log files are stored for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted, unless further retention is necessary for evidentiary purposes in the event of a security incident.

2. User-Submitted Content

When you submit an idea to our Ideaboard or submit a project to our Projects page, the data you enter into the form is collected and stored on our servers.

Please note: The submission process is designed to be largely anonymous. We do not require or ask for your real name, email address, or account registration. However, any personal information you voluntarily include in the text fields (such as descriptions or titles) will be processed and published on the platform. Because this platform serves as an ongoing public showcase and ideaboard, published submissions are stored indefinitely. If you wish to have your submission removed, please refer to Section 4 (Your Rights).

3. Automated Processing (AI Screening)

To ensure a safe environment, user-submitted ideas and projects may be subject to automated screening using Artificial Intelligence (Large Language Models). This is done solely to filter out inappropriate, harmful, or spam content.

The processing takes place locally on our servers using a self-hosted open-source language model. No user-submitted data is transmitted to external third-party AI providers. Furthermore, the data is not permanently stored in the AI model or used to train it. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in maintaining a safe platform (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

4. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to receive free information about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have a right to request the correction, blocking, or deletion of this data, as well as the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR), and the right to withdraw your consent at any time (where processing is based on consent). Since most submissions on this platform are anonymous, we can only fulfill requests related to specific content (like deletion or correction) if you provide sufficient proof that you are the original author.

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
